October 2017 Statistics
October 2017 statistics compared to October 2016 statistics
show a 34 decrease in “Calls for Service” and a 33 percent increase in traffic
accidents.
What are “Calls for Service?” This is ANY incident or
concern in which you may call us for when you are in need of assistance.
Traffic contacts had a 26 percent increase compared to the
month of October last year. We issued 159 citations and 819 warnings. The
numbers reflect our interest to educate and remind people of what their
responsibilities are on the roadway and to make our community a safer place to
drive, bike and walk.
“Part One Crimes” for the month of October 2017 compared to
the month of October 2016 stayed the same with no Homicides, no Sexual
Assaults, no Motor Vehicle Thefts and no Robberies. Assaults increased from (0)
zero to (2) two. However, Thefts decreased from four (4) to zero (0.) Burglary
offenses (construction theft) also decreased reduced from two (2) to zero (0)
compared from the month of October 2016 to the month of October 2017.
Part One Crimes are essential quality of life crimes that
have adverse effect on the community. These crimes are the most serious
offenses against the community. These crimes are based on what “city crime
rates” reflect, based on population.
We had no sustained officer complaints during the month of
October 2017.
We contribute many of these low numbers regarding serious
crime to YOU, the community. Your aggressive style, awareness and willingness

SEPTEMBER 2017 STATISTICS
September 2017 statistics compared to September 2016 statistics show a 37 decrease in “Calls for Service” and a 11 percent decrease in traffic accidents.
What are “Calls for Service?” This is ANY incident or concern in which you may call us for when you are in need of assistance.
Traffic contacts had a 26 percent increase compared to the month of September last year. We issued 97 citations and 769 warnings. The numbers reflect our interest to educate and remind people of what their responsibilities are on the roadway and to make our community a safer place to drive, bike and walk.
“Part One Crimes” for the month of September 2017 compared to the month of September 2016 stayed the same with no Homicides, no Sexual Assaults, no Motor Vehicle Thefts and no Robberies. Assaults increased from (0) zero to (2) two. Thefts increased from (2) two to (8) eight. Burglary offenses (construction theft) reduced from six (2) to one (1) compared from the month of September 2016 to the month of September 2017.
